Submerge: meaning - to go below / immersion.

The feeling when you forget your surroundings and experience something with full attention. This can happen while watching a movie, listening to music or even just in a simple conversation. You wander off into your inner world, or into the worlds of others. It often triggers a wide spectrum of emotions.

I consider submersion to be one of the most important things while making art and telling stories.

For me, these illustrations are a visualisation of that experience.

The women have dreamy facial expressions and submerge themselves (literally and figuratively) into an unearthly substance. They calmly surrender to the unknown.
